Dr. Kuntoro will speak on his experiences as the Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit, a role which brings together his extensive experience in corporate restructuring and project supervision. In this position he oversees all Line Ministries keeping them on track to fulfill President Yudhoyono’s goals of reform and development. Throughout his career, Dr, Kuntoro has been known as a figure who upholds the principles of good governance and takes bold steps toward instituting change to ensure delivery. Previously, Dr. Kuntoro was assigned to lead the Aceh-Nias Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Agency (BRR), after the 2005 tsunami. As the Director of BRR, he led the reconstruction effort with funding of USD 7.2 billion, 70% of which came from foreign assistance. The outcome of the reconstruction has since become an international role model for post-disaster management.
